Background

I am a software engineer and AI researcher based in Germany. I build tools at the intersection of language models and developer tooling, and write about what I learn along the way.

Previously I worked at startups and agencies across Europe, shipping products in fintech, healthcare, and developer tooling. These days I focus on independent work — building andreasrau.dev, exploring AI agent systems, and taking on selective consulting engagements.
